The 2024 vintage at Quinta de la Quietud has closed with very good sensations. According to winemaker Jean-François Hèbrard, it has been a vintage ‘with good production in quantity and excellent quality’ which will result in ‘red wines with a lot of personality, powerful and balanced’.
The harvest at Quinta de la Quietud began on 9 September with good expectations and ended on 8 October, confirming the forecast. The year was kind to the estate’s vineyards, which resulted in a good harvest.
‘We are very happy with the vintage,’ sums up Jean-François Hebrard, winemaker at Quinta de la Quietud. ‘Nature has rewarded us, we have not suffered frost or hailstorms, we have been fortunate that none of the meteorological agents that have passed through the area have stopped in our vineyards. Within the D.O. we have been lucky, because we have not been affected by the spring frosts despite the fact that in general it has been a relatively complicated year in Castilla y León. The result is a harvest with good production in terms of quantity and excellent quality. A very good vintage for us, with reds with a lot of personality, powerful and balanced’.
The organic wines Corral de Campanas, Quinta Quietud Reserva, La Mula de la Quietud and the natural In Quietud by Nature will be made with the hand-picked Tinta de Toro. ‘We have filled the winery with spectacular grapes; we have great expectations’, concludes the Bordeaux oenologist.
Quinta de la Quietud is a D.O. Toro winery with organic certification since 2002.
